Bengaluru: The underground Metro station at K R Market is good to go to wear a legacy look, with the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRC) firming up arrangements to build up a legacy passage along the Metro line close to the Old Pete range.
As indicated by BMRC authorities, the division of prehistoric studies has at last upheld showing a Tipu-time gun at the station. The BMRC has been needing to put the gun, accepted to be from Tipu Sultan’s ordnance, at the K R Market station. Notwithstanding, the division of archaic exploration was at first hesitant to part with the period piece.
“The thought is to reproduce a memorable feel along that Metro line, and showing the Tipu-period gun is a part of the arrangement. There were sure procedural issues to be tended to. Presently, the arrangement’s on track,” said BMRC representative U A Vasanth Rao.
As per the thorough arrangement, the K R Market station will be produced as an incorporated space for workers, with connections to authentic places in the region. Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, his arsenal in Kalasipalyam, the mud stronghold, Kote Venkataramana Swamy sanctuary, and the exceptionally old Victoria and Vanivilas healing facilities are to be connected along the legacy passageway running parallel to the Namma Metro green line.
